ISACA is based in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, and has more than 50,000 members responsible for computer security, control and audit for business, industry, academic and government entities in over 140 countries. There are 170 local Chapters of ISACA in 60 countries. ISACA sponsors the globally-respected Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) professional designation for experienced information systems auditors, several educational conferences and the bimonthly IS Audit and Control Journal. ISACA also established A Foundation for research in the field of IT audit as well as founded with the Foundation the IT Governance Institute as a think tank for roles and relationships between IT and enterprise governance.

The primary purpose of the Puget Sound Chapter, like the ISACA, is to promote the education of individuals for the improvement and development of their capabilities relating to the auditing of and/or management consulting in the field of information systems audit and control. The Puget Sound Chapter supports these goals through its monthly newsletter -- Audit Log, monthly meetings with guest speakers, technical seminars, conferences and the development of this Web site.
